So I’ve been in Auckland again since the 29th. My head was way off and I thought it was already the 30th when I got here -_-, should’ve stayed an extra day up North. Anyhoo, got myself a new lie on it to sleep device which I will test once I go out again. Currently waiting in Auckland for the weather to get better, not being in a hurry to get anywhere makes life a bit easier.

It looks like the sky will be clearing on the 4th, so that’s when I`ll start heading South. Highway 43, mt Taranaki if I can be bothered and then it’s hello South Island :D. As I also mentioned in my day 4 post, redoing my panniers saved me some space with my books. I`m now saving even more space by not needing to take anymore books with me…. got myself an e-reader as an early birthday present. I`m not the proud owner of a Kobo Aura H2O (What’s in a name eh Mark). The little thing works like a charm, or so it seems right now. The sleep cover I got with it apparently is a bit of a weird thing. Googling it shows that there are a lot of Monday morning units with faulty magnets. As was the first cover I got, went back to Noel Lemming where I got it from and swapped the cover. Seems to be working alright now.
Reason to go for the Kobo over a Kindle is very simple. I want more freedom than just Amazon (I know there are options out there to work around it, I`m IT savvy). Going from some reviews the Kobo gives you more reading settings as well which I quite like. Set it up the way you want to and last but not least…. H2O and dust proof. Gives me a bit more of a good feeling taking it along with me. So far I can say it’s comfortable reading in the dark as well, I`m impressed and didn’t think I would like it as much as I actually do. We’ll see how long it lasts :D.
